U.S.-based Avocados from Mexico is the largest distributor of avocados in the world. The mandate involved raising awareness in Canada about Avocados from Mexico and growing the brand through a variety of communication tools: a website overhaul to target Canadian consumers, social network campaigns and visuals, partnerships with the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays, recipes and contests featuring popular personality Bob le Chef, and the Avocatour initiative, a themed van travel through Quebec and Ontario.
The 2015 Avocatour, an initiative launched to promote the Avocados from Mexico brand, saw a themed van travel through Quebec and Ontario offering avocado samples, recipes and information. The mandate was to create a festive, joyful and colourful identity via the “Avocart” and Avoman mascot. A number of promotional tools were produced to support the initiative, from banners and social media images to press releases, signage, and more.
